"Safe from Gender Based-Violence" Platform

Go to PLATFORM The “Safe from Sexual Gender-Based Violence” platform has been developed to enable young people, teachers, parents and community members to have access to information and knowledge about inclusive sex education (CSOs) and gender-based sexual violence (GBVS). This platform is designed based on the updated manual on Gender-Based and Sexual Violence that the Albanian Center for Population and Development has adapted from the International Federation of Family Planning (IPPF). The material structured in 6 sections consists of a combination of theoretical information with practical exercises, at the end of each participant will be provided with a certificate of participation with the relevant assessment. This package is designed for experienced trainers, sex education educators, NGO activists, young workers and other professionals working with young people at risk of social exclusion, such as LGBTIQ + youth, Roma and young people at risk of gender discrimination. The person who has completed the course is not an educator but someone who has improved their capacities related to gender-based sexual violence (GBV), who has experience in implementing inclusive sex education, identifying and dealing with violence and abuse, and guarantees appropriate referral where young people can get support if they need it.
