Advocacy for Sexual and Reproductive Health among Young People
The Albanian Center for Population and Development (ACPD) delivered the training on “Advocacy for Sexual and Reproductive Health among Young People”, to 15 young people in the premises of the “Po” Youth Center on 19-20 October 2022. This training sought to equip young people with the main concepts of sexual and reproductive health and empower them to advocate for these topics.
At the end of the training, young people had a clearer concept about the rights of young people, focusing mainly on sexual and reproductive rights; strengthen their knowledge of gender mainstreaming in youth programs and the barriers/challenges encountered to gain rights and gender mainstreaming in areas where youth programs are implemented including access to reproductive health services, termination of pregnancy, STI/HIV/AIDS ; evaluating and improving programs based on rights and gender sensitivity.
The training was delivered as part of the “Youth Voice, Youth Choices” Project, supported by Merck for Mothers, coordinated at the regional level by the International Planned Parenthood Federation – European Network (IPPF EN) and implemented in 5 Western Balkan countries.
