UNFPA Albania was in the Administrative Unit of Velipoja – Shkodër Municipality, together with ACPD staff and about 30 young people from that area, to raise community awareness on gender equality, activism of young people in civil movements to protect human rights and the need for boys and men to participate in the fight against gender-based violence.The intervention is part of the project “EU for Gender Equality in Albania”, supported by EU in Albania and implemented by UNFPA Albania and UN Women Albania in partnership with local government, civil society and high school young people in the remote rural areas under the project.
