Interview of ACPD Executive Director for News24 TV

The ACPD Executive Director, Dr. Elona Gjebrea Hoxha, was invited for an interview to News24 TV. She talked about the most recent research study undertaken by ACPD in the frame of the ‘Youth Voices, Youth Choices’ Project with support from the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF-EN) and funded by the Merck for Mothers Programme. Already published onto our website (click here to download) and in our social media platforms, the study seeks to provide a clearer picture of the impact of the pandemic on young people’s sexual and reproductive health and rights in Albania and documents young people’s sexual and reproductive health needs and experiences and the perspectives of health care providers and other relevant stakeholders on these needs. The study also captures the latter’s needs as they deliver services, information and education to young people, building on their experience of Covid-19.

In her interview, Dr. Gjebrea Hoxha Hoxha emphasized the need for better information of young people about sexual and reproductive health, called for an increased attention and funding from the Albanian government to improve the sexual and reproductive healthcare as well as to improve SRH legislation and comprehensive sexuality education curricula.
