The International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), the world’s largest sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) organization, celebrated its 70th birthday on 25-30 November 2022 in Bogota, Colombia. ACPD Executive Director, Dr. Elona Hoxha Gjebrea, attended the General Assembly.

IPPF was founded in 1952 in an act of international solidarity between eight national family planning organizations. Now a network of more than 108 independent Member Associations (MAs) working in over 140 countries worldwide, the last 70 years have seen IPPF leave its mark on the world, delivering high-quality SRHR services and helping transform laws and policies across the globe.

The Albanian Center for Population and Development is a proud member of IPPF since 1996 and the only organization accredited by this international federation.
